Jatoi Masjid Ali Pur

The Jatoi Masjid Ali Pur is also known as the Sakina-tul-Sughra Mosque. This magnificent architectural and spiritual wonder stands at Kotla Rehm Ali Shah, Jatoi Tehsil of Muzaffargarh District of Pakistan.

Jatoi Masjid History

On the foundation of that older mosque, which stood on that very site for more than 200 years, first built by Syed Rehm Ali Shah after whom the village is named Kotla Rehm Ali Shah, stands today the Sakina-tul-Sughra Mosque.

A new mosque was founded in the name of his family by Syed Ismail Ahmed Hussain Bokhari when he laid its foundation stone on 31 January 2006.

The mosque took exactly one and a half years to complete and the first Azan sounded on 27 September 2007.

Jatoi Masjid Location and Accessibility

The Sakina-tul-Sughra Mosque, or Jatoi Masjid Pakistan, is located in Kotla Rehm Ali Shah, about 10 kilometers from Jatoi city, along the Jatoi-Shah Jamal Road. The mosque is easily accessible from various cities in southern Punjab:

Architectural Design

Sakina tul Sughra mosque was designed by a Turkish architecture specialist and is one of the masterpieces in Islamic architecture.

It boasts 52 domes while flanking two minarets 55 meters from the grounds, signifying grandeur with spiritual elevation. The entire complex stands at 52 kanal.

It is enough for massive congregations of worshippers. Traditional Turkish influence in Islamic construction is made visible through its intricate designs both within and outside, making it one of the world’s visually appealing mosques.

Interior and Exterior Views

The interior is as beautiful as the exterior of the Muzaffargarh Jatoi Masjid. From afar, Sakina-tul-Sughra Mosque rises over the landscape with beautiful white domes and tall minarets. The care given to the details also goes inside, where worshippers are welcomed into a roomy prayer hall, high ceilings, and sophisticated motifs in Islamic dress that adorn the spiritual place.

Its interior is designed so that the flow of natural lights creates silent and meditative moods. The Mihrab and Minbar are intricately designed, adding grandeur and importance to the mosque.

Jatoi Mosque is open to view at any time of the day, though Friday will be the busiest day because of Jumu’ah prayers. People can come in view outside praying time, observing the architectural beauty and peaceful ambiance surrounding the mosque.
